The Witcher 3 will be released on all platforms simultaneously (Update, maybe it won’t)
Update: Looks like we jumped the gun a bit and a few things were lost in translation. While they’ve never been shy about making a third Witcher title, it looks like Cd Projekt RED didn’t announce any details about The Witcher 3 and a lot of this is pure speculation (though it does make sense). As far as it stands right now, CD Projekt RED are the only ones who know what’s going on concerning W3.
Even with the news about The Witcher 2 coming to the Xbox 360 in April, we’re still excited to see where Geralt’s adventures take him next. News taken from the press conference yesterday suggests a couple of things. First, the game will be released on consoles simultaneously. Secondly, it has a good chance of making it to the PS3 as well. We’re guessing (pure speculation on our part) that the title could see a late 2013 release if CD Projekt Red is already working on it. Considering they already have the engine built, it would take less time to crank out the third installment.
We are a long way out until W3 sees the light of day, but it’s good to know we can expect another title down the road.
