SOPA/PIPA can kiss my ASSA
Here at MMOMFG we’re a laid back group of people. We don’t really get on the political train, but we’ve definitely been keeping an eye on this whole SOPA/PIPA “thing.” This “thing” as it were, looks to change the shape of not only the industry we’ve grown up loving and adoring, but the entire structure of the Internet. There are a whole lot of people who are smarter than me and can tell you why, but the gist of the situation is this: We all (and by all I mean those smart enough to be against these bills), agree piracy is bad, and we also agree that you can’t stop piracy with a bunch of suits in congress passing extremely open ended laws that could be abused very easily.
Sites like Wikipedia, Google, and Reddit have all joined together today to raise as much awareness as they can about the seriousness of these two bills. If you’ve ever come to our site before, or any other news site like ours, then this concerns you, so pay attention fat pandas. Check out the little FAQ Wikipedia cooked up, it does a great job of explaining everything.
