No breakdancing wizards in these Lord of the Rings: War in the North PAX screens

And thus begins the trickling of news, screenshots, and videos from PAX Prime. Over the next three days (Fri-Sun), companies will be showing off their latest and greatest.

First up to the plate is The Lord of the Rings: War in the North. A three player cooperative slice and dice fest against the forces of Sauron. Coming out sometime in 2011, War in the North embraces the brutal combat and mature themes of Tolkien’s universe.  No idea what kind of story this will follow, but with the ability to create your own mini fellowship, count me in. I haven’t really enjoyed a LOTR title since Return of the King on Xbox.
