Mega Man MMO trailer has plenty of action, not a lot of gameplay

A friend of mine was into Mega Man big time back in the day. Had the boss kill order down and could do it with hardly getting touched. This was impressive to my younger self, as I never possessed a game system other than a Game Boy for a long time. Since then the game series has become as synonymous with nostalgia as Zelda or Mario. With the new Korean effort to bring the Man of Mega into the MMO market, you’d think they’d play off what came before. Not quite.

Thanks to Kotaku, at first glance it seems to be more of a trailer for a new anime movie, but it previews the world being developed by Capcom and Neowiz for you to play in. Though playtime seems to involve Armageddon caused by tiny and not-so-tiny robots.

Is it just me, or is mass destruction and death of common citizens at the hands of still kinda innocent looking robots make it more interesting? I mean, genocide at the icy hands of a kid robot in a blue parka is an awesomely creepy image.
