UPDATED: Nintendo announces when they’ll announce 3DS date and price (not)

UPDATE: Nintendo has responded to this news, telling VG247 that they have not confirmed the date and the Bloomberg Japan report is the product of “Chinese whispers,” whatever that means. Sorry kiddos, but the 3DS price and release date remain unconfirmed.

Try to keep up on this one people. Nintendo told Bloomberg Japan, and now we’re telling you. The date and the price of the handheld glory will be announced on the 29th of September. It had been speculated beforehand that the eagerly awaited 3D handheld was to be released worldwide around March in 2011, and price was thought to be somewhere in the $250 region. But of course, this is all merely hearsay. When we get something solid, something concrete, something ball bustingly exploding, we’ll be sure to let you know. I mean, how awful would we be, keeping information like that to ourselves?
