Howdy, undead pardner – Cowboys vs. Zombies hits mobile devices this week

Why so long in the gaunt face, pardner? Oh, you’re a fracking zombie! Oh, sorry! Don’t mind my, Shakespeare Meets Left 4 Dead at the OK Corral rendition of Hamlet. With more crossovers hitting gamers in the next year than a bundle of sticks, it is good to know we don’t have to wait long for our next dose. This Tuesday, July 27, developer Tall Chair will rope some dopes on the Apple front with their Cowboys vs. Zombies crossover for the iPhone, Ipod Touch and iPad.

The game is your typical tower defense genre game, but you’ve got some immensely popular counterparts dueling it out. Once the game is on Apple’s Store, it will be available for a one-day price of $.99. There isn’t much you can get in this world for a buck, short of a crap burger or a smack in the mouth, so if you’re itching to blast some Zed words or cowboys, you might as well pick it up.

If you’re in the San Fran area on July 29, you can even check out the devs having a launch party, where you can ask questions, get some hands-on experience with the game and rake in some gamer goodies just for being in attendance. So let me ask you, are you more excited about Plants vs. Zombies 2 or Cowboys vs. Zombies?
