LittleBigPlanet 2 dated with a sweet collector’s edition

Big news today for you PlayStation gamers, LittleBigPlanet 2 has finally been dated. Thank you, Sony! Oh, the date? It will be available on November 16^th.

The news gets better; there will be a limited Collector’s Edition and pre-order bonuses specific to the retail stores. If you pre-order from Amazon, you will get access to Ratchet and Clank costumes as well as the four pack set of “Animals” costumes. If you are a big fan of Toy Story (who isn’t?) you can pre-order with Best Buy to get an Aliens costume as well as the “Animals” pack of costumes. Sony also promises a future Toy Story 3 DLC with many more characters. Gamestop has the exclusive Clu costume from Tron: Legacy as well as the “Animals” costumes pack, along with another promise of more Tron: Legacy costumes later in the year (when the movie is released). Sony also claims there will be more pre-order programs soon that will feature Gonzo from the Muppets and additional Muppets’ characters to be available via the PlayStation Store shortly after the game’s release.

The Collector’s Edition will obviously come with a copy of the game, a 7 inch Sackboy plushy, a sweet set of “game ends” to “keep your PS3 games in a tidy, organized and ‘Sack-ured’ within these unique bookends”, and special DLC, some of which are exclusive to the Collector’s Edition. That sweet deal will only take $79.99 out of your pocket. Which isn’t bad at all considering the free DLC and the sweet book ends. The DLC will contain all of the pre-order bonuses (costumes) plus a few extras and 5 exclusive LBP2 PSN avatars. Make sure to pre-order your Collector’s Edition soon, as it is in limited quantities.
