Madden 11 demo touching down July 27th on PS3 and 360

Get ready to scout your first hands-on look at this year’s installment in roughly 10 days. As previously mentioned, the demo will pack beefy five minute quarters which should be ample time for Mr. Sanchez to go to town on a virtual hot dog or two, and certainly more than enough time to admire the always witty and insightful verbal regurgitation’s of Mr. Collinsworth. Additionally, the folks over at Madden 11 are finally spilling the mustard on some of those surprises that were previously announced.

The real purpose behind the extended demo is to allow players to get a good handle on the new game-flow and game-planning features, which shouldn’t really be a surprise. But to really drive the point home, if you elect to create and save a game plan in the demo you will automatically unlock the “master strategist” achievement when you start up the full version of Madden 11. Achievement aside, I’m itching to put my mastermind game-planning through its paces, but a little bribery never hurts.

Another little trinket they are tossing your way in the demo comes in the form of a unique Madden Ultimate Team card (Jets Stadium, which features a defensive boost). Yes, you indeed inferred correctly. Madden Ultimate Team will not only be featured in Madden 11, but will come packaged with the game, unlike Madden 10. If you are having a hard time adjusting to the gameflow system or happen to be a first time Madden player, you will be happy to know that the demo also sports full AI and gameplay sliders so you can adjust difficulty accordingly, also a Madden demo first.

Look for the juiced up demo on July 27th for both PlayStation Network and Xbox live, with the full version hitting stores on August 10.
