Pro Evolution Soccer 2011, a first look at soccer at its finest
For a moment as I was watching the 6 minute footage of Pro Evolution Soccer 2011, I thought I was watching the World Cup all over again, minus the vuvuzelas. The graphics are detailed and look close to realistic, until I noticed the stiffer than a half lubricated tin man animations. It’s not that big of a deal, because the game introduces over a thousand new motions one can perform mid-game, so there had to be a design cutback somewhere.
The game looks beautiful and Konami seems to be taking things up a notch. It will make good competition against EA’s FIFA 2011, but we’ll have to wait and see when we review the game how it holds up. Stiff animation aside, I have high hopes for Pro Evo 2011. Will it win the hearts of the MMOMFG staff over though? Time will tell, as some of us are diehard FIFA fans.
