Happy 4th of July from MMOMFG!
For those of you hailling from the United States, MMOMFG wants to wish you a happy 4th of July! It’s a day for rest and recreation, folks, and we all should take advantage of it. Whether that means catching up on your gaming or getting your barbecue on we hope you do so to the fullest. We also recommend getting outside at some point.
With that said, this holiday does have a deeper meaning. It’s a celebration of American independence, of all the things that keep it hanging around, of things that shouldn’t be taken for granted. If you lived in North Korea, for instance, your life would kinda suck.
Say you’re a crazed soccer fan from north of the 38th parallel – the government won’t let you watch your nation’s World Cup games live on television. God forbid if you wanted to travel abroad and see your team live in South Africa…that is unless you’re a Chinese actor. Also, starvation and labor camps.
So we wanted to take a minute and spout off on what we’re thankful for this holiday break. Think of it like Thanksgiving in the middle of the summer or something.
Andrew – I’m thankful for our independence because it means I can stomp fools in online World Cup 2010 South Africa tournaments with a (finally) up to date USA squad.
Dustin – I’m thankful for independence so I can enjoy the original Karate Kid whenever I want. The North Koreans can have this new Jaden Smith horseshit.
Justin – I’m thankful for our Independence Day because it means I don’t have to sound like Seiji.
Jeremy – I’m thankful for good beer, good food, good friends, and for all the n00bs who make my online adventures so entertaining. Thanks ‘Merica.
Jake – I’m grateful for barbecues and beer. If you don’t eat a hot dog on July 4th, then you are a communist. No excuses for vegetarians.
Jared – I’m thankful we’re speaking American instead of some bugga-bugga fake language, like Spanish. I’m also thankful for Doritos, Pabst Blue Ribbon and Call of Duty.
Burnside – I’m thankful for proper dental hygiene and being able to say, “America! F*ck yea!” during Call of Duty games.
Tell us why you appreciate your independence and what you’ll be doing to celebrate it today. Once you do, get off your computer, go outside, and eat a wiener.
