Mortal Kombat will boast the “most robust online fighting game system ever”

Writing the title of this article was enough to blow the back of my pants out. That was shortly after coming across an E3 Q&A between Gaming Union and Mortal Kombat’s lead designer, John Edwards. A few things were clarified in the interview regarding the upcoming smash Warner Bros. hit. The topic of DLC, which may include new Fatalities, new characters and a plethora of other things was discussed, as well as the game’s online fighting system.

Edwards stated, “We have a really robust online system. I can’t go into too many details but it’s going to be pretty much the most robust online fighting game system ever imagined. Just look forward to it!”

Well that just about seals my wallet’s fate in terms of whether I’ll be dropping $60 on MK when it comes out. The fact is, I got time with Mortal Kombat at E3 and LOVED every second of it. With Gaming Union getting the word on online play (thanks guys), it sounds like MK multiplayer will deliver the goods. Sounds like a Flawless Victory to me.
