Bioshock 2 DLC bringing Protector Trials in August

2Kgames has announced an upcoming DLC pack for Bioshock 2 named “Protector Trials”. As the name suggests, you’ll be hopping back into the oversized boots of a Big Daddy and defending the littler sisters against hordes of splicers.  A pretty simple premise, but with three difficulty levels, it’s not exactly an easy challenge to complete. The DLC will be released August 3rd for a price of $4.99 or 400 MS Points.

Something also released in the press announcement that might have Bioshock 2 fans excited This is just the beginning. More single-player content is on the way that will deliver more of the intense action and story-driven gameplay that fans have been craving.”

The DLC includes six new maps, but each are still based on locations from Bioshock 2. We’ll also be getting new unlockables and seven new achievements. It’s always good to see a title being supported with a little TLC/DLC, but is six months too long of a wait for you guys? Or does this offer just enough temptation to hop back into Rapture one more time?
