Rumored holiday season release for Nintendo 3DS

Could the Nintendo 3DS be available worldwide this holiday season? According to Kotaku, sources close to Nintendo’s headquarters in Japan claim that when Nintendo’s North Amercia President, Reggie Fils-Aime, mentioned that the Nintendo 3DS would be released next year it was the wrong date. Originally it was announced that the 3DS would be released by the end of Nintendo’s current fiscal year which ends in March 2011. So if Fils-Aime was wrong in saying it will be released next year, and the product is to be released this fiscal year, logic points to a release before 2010 is over.

Glasses free 3D gaming here I come this holiday season. If this is all true and not just a lot of confusion and mixed up information on Nintendo’s part it will be a great end of the year for Nintendo when you add in the releases of GoldenEye 007, Donkey Kong Country Returns, and Epic Mickey. What to get first?
