Lord of the Rings War in the North screens are serious, gets M rating

Being published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and developed by Snowblind Studios, Lord of the Rings” War in the North (forever to be known as LOTRWITN) is based on both the movie and literary works of J.R.R. Tolkien.

The title allows for up to three (quite the small fellowship) players to join in the co-op experience and allow them to choose between human, elf, and dwarf.  Being that Snowblind specializes in RPGs (Baldurs’ Gate: Dark Alliance in 2001) expect plenty of customization, loot, and reward systems.

The most noticeable feature of this game, it’s the first rated M game in the Lord of the Ring franchise. Could that be a good thing or bad? Time will tell as the title is due out in 2011.
