David Hayter might not voice Solid Snake in Metal Gear Solid Rising

Snake? Snaaake!

Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops, Metal Gear Solid IV: Guns of the Patriots and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. What do all these games have in common? David Hayter voicing the character(s) Snake, the nicotine addicted, super awesome soldier who has taken us through so many adventures with his drama riddled, heart wrenching life. However, according to MTV Multiplayer Blog, David hasn’t been contacted for ‘Metal Gear Rising‘ yet. That means one of two things: either someone else will do the voice of Snake, which to me seems like a complete abomination to the MGS series,  or it means that Snake won’t be in Metal Gear Rising at all. Which is worse?!

I know that MGR will focus more on Raiden than the superspy, but surely Snake must make a cameo appearance or something? What’s Metal Gear Solid without Solid Snake? To all you other MGS lovers out there, I’m sure you’re as eager as me to find out what is going on. That Metal Gear Solid film has been postponed too…sad times indeed. I’m going into the emo corner now.
