Slice people in half with hat via groin – new Mortal Kombat in 2011
Warner Bros. has announced the newest iteration in the Mortal Kombat series, a game that will hit Xbox 360 and PS3 consoles in 2011. No super heroes mucking things up this time around, either, if the trailer is any indication. Indeed, the trailer features a new style reminiscent of old school Mortal Kombat, fast, violent, and strictly two-dimensional, except for when Johnny Cage gets uppercut off the narrow platform into a bed of spikes.
Feature wise, the game is slated to contain a new tag-team mode, where up to four players can compete and rip out each other’s vital organs and/or spinal columns. Such spine-ripping antics can occur online or off.
A return to form for the original hyper-violent fighter cannot be a bad thing. Looking forward to this game and some good old-fashioned fatalities way more than anything involving Superman or The Flash. Scope out the trailer below.
