Valve time strikes again; Portal 2 delayed to 2011

Valve has announced the delay of Portal 2 to 2011. But did anyone really expect it to come out this year? We’ve gotten used to this, and so has Valve, whose tongue-in-cheek announcement of the delay mentions that that all life on earth would instantaneously stop “should a rip ever appear in the fabric of Valve time.”

Despite the Portal 2 party cancellation, Portal 2 will assuredly still be alive at this E3. Valve’s E3 surprise may not be Half 2: Episode 3, but they have at least confirmed that the surprise will be “PORTAL-2-THEMED-FOR-GOD’S SAKE.” And there will be Portal 2 screenings. Aperture Science may be cruel at times, but never flat-out heartless.
