Get Ready to Suffer With a 24-Hour World of Warcraft Maintenance

Tomorrow there will be extended maintenance with 72 realms on World of Warcraft being taken down for 24 hours to prepare the servers for the upcoming Cataclysm expansion. The maintenance will begin Tuesday at 12:01AM PDT and continue all the way to Wednesday 12:01AM PDT.  If you don’t see your server listed, than it will have the normal downtime of 5AM PDT to 11AM PDT. If you were one of the fortunate realms not listed , I bet you will have to deal with it next week.

What will you do with 24 hours of not being able to play WoW? How many people plan on starting a new alt on some random server to never play it again after your main realm goes live again? For the pain and suffering that this is sure to cause, I’m sure we’ll read about people demanding Blizzard comp them with 1 free day of play time.
