Pixels & Pinups: The Ultimate Gamer Babe Throwdown – Movie Adaptation Babe Edition

Are you a fan of hot babes? More specifically are you a fan of hot gamer babes? If so, then have we got a competition for you! Nearly two months ago, we launched our Pixels & Pinups: The Ultimate Gamer Babe competition and today it’s time for round 7 of our too hot for TV babe buffet! Here’s how this smoking hot babe-off will play out: Every Friday, the MMOMFG staff (no pun intended) will seek out two hot gamer babes, be them virtual or fleshy, to duel it out battle royale style. And by battle royale, I mean you lucky dudes and dudettes will get to vote for which you think struts their stuff the best! Each week, two new hotties will duke it out in the hopes of making it to the December Showdown, where the winner from each week leading up to that point will then compete to determine who the sauciest tart of 2010 is!

Last week was a battle between the babes of 2009 PS3 blockbuster Uncharted, with Chloe Frazer edging out Elena Fisher in a hotly contested matchup.

Milla Jovovich (Alice) vs. Angelina Jolie (Lara Croft)

This week we go from your plasma screen to the silver screen with a battle of babes from feature film adaptations of video game franchises. Milla Jovovich, Alice in the Resident Evil movies, takes on Angelina Jolie, Lara Croft from the Tomb Raider films. This promises to be an epic battle, as we have two deadly beauties from opposite ends of the spectrum. Jovovich plays Alice, the test-tube bred, genetically superior killing machine set loose on a post-apocalyptic land of (mostly) zombies. Jolie portrays Lara Croft, a stylish and smooth treasure hunter from a wealthy family. They’ve both got beauty and brawn, just in differing amounts. This one might just be too close to predict.

What’s Hot

First line of offense - In the event of a zombie outbreak, what do you grab first. A gun? A blade? Pfft – how about your girl? Jovovich’s Alice character is pretty much the only person you need on your side in order to survive the infected apocalypse. Well, her and some fat people you can easily outrun.

The athletic type - Milla is a sexy lady for sure. We’ve all seen The Fifth Element (if you haven’t, you should be ashamed, seriously). The “athletic” build is where it’s at for a lot of guys. This is Jovovich’s key differentiator from Angelina, and it could work in her favor. Not every guy is into the buxom, curvier ladies.

What’s Not

Talk about baggage - The thing with Alice is that she kinda belongs to Umbrella. In one of the RE movies (what are we up to, five?) we see the chemical conglomerate’s ability to switch her on and off remotely. What does that translate to? Unpredictable homicidal fits cued by some suits far away. I would not want to get in the way of that.

What’s Hot

It’s called marrying up – This may come as a shock, but video game reporter isn’t my dream job. Nope, that prestigious title belongs to a highly important role in society – that of househusband. I would be a killer househusband, molding my children into international-quality soccer players AND professional gamers. It can happen. Especially if I marry up into a family like the Crofts. They are loaded.

Daammnnnn - It’s no secret that Angelina Jolie has a near-perfect body. Sure, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but most hetero males aren’t going to argue much with this statement. The differences in body type are the big difference between our two competitors. It may come down to personal preference, but I’m banking on the majority of preferences lining up with Jolie’s type of hotness.

What’s Not

Have you any Grey Poupon? - Have you ever dated a girl hailing from a higher social standing than your own family’s? It can cause problems, which is my worry with Lara. If the woman is used to high thread count sheets and a mansion with 10 bathrooms, my four roomates, two baths, and flannel sheets are not going to meet those lofty standards.

The Verdict

My pick here is easy: Milla Jovovich. Angelina Jolie may have the edge in stereotypical “looks,” but I’ve got bigger things in mind. Like the impending zombie apocalypse. Call me paranoid, but it’s going to happen. And when it does I want Alice by my side. Somehow though, I’m not sure the rest of you out there will agree with me. Prove me wrong, guys!
