Modern Warfare 2 Resurgence Map Pack Breaking the Bank Again
Oh wow another Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 map pack DLC titled Resurgence Package and they are regurgitating old maps again according to IGN. The map pack will consist of three new maps and two old maps from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Oh and it gets better, $14.99 (1200 MS points) for the map pack, way too expensive again. Why can’t Infinity Ward be as cool as Bungie and have map packs for $5 and not recycle maps from previous games?
The three new maps include Carnival, Trailer Park, and Fuel. The two old maps are Strike and Vacant. Carnival will be a huge map littered with funhouses, roller coasters, and bumper cars in an old amusement park giving advantages to snipers. Trailer Park is the living quarters for the people who run Boneyard, which will be displayed in the background, will be a maze like area filled with many choke points and tight corridors. Fuel will be a unique map taking place in an oil refinery that will be split into two parts. One half will be wide open for snipers and the other half will consist of a warehouse with tight corridors. The two old maps, Vacant is a wide open Russian complex and Strike is an urban town. No word yet on how they will, if they are, changing up the old Strike, but it would be nice if they change the weather environment or time of day settings. Vacant will be getting new details and visuals, which isn’t anything special. We want more for our money.
The Resurgence Package will be available for download on the Xbox360 June 3rd. Let’s all keep our fingers crossed that it won’t crash itself in a blaze of glory again, or cause a system wide crash. But hey, if Microsoft allows another crash and gives another 7-day LIVE membership then the price of the DLC won’t be that steep.
