Don’t Lose your Token Card for Alan Wake, DLC incoming

The first DLC for Alan Wake is set to be released on July 27^th according to an ADM post on the forums of Alan Wake’s official website. The official announcement stated:

“Hold on to your Alan Wake token card found inside each new copy of Alan Wake to receive the first add-on episode. The episode titled “The Signal” will be available July 27, 2010 on Xbox LIVE. Please hold on to your token card to redeem the content at that time and stay tuned for more details soon.”

No price has been announced yet for the DLC, but it will be free for everyone who purchases Alan Wake, assuming you can hold onto your token card. For now, there aren’t many details about this episode, but one can only hope it will be as long and thorough as recent GTA episodes, which was a lot of bang for your buck. Don’t forget, Alan Wake will be available on May 18^th and this new freebie DLC will definitely help against competing games coming out the same day. Competition will be high with Red Dead Redemption, Split/Second, and Prince of Persia all slated for May 18, along with the Dragon Age Darkspawn Chronicles DLC.
