Roll back time and check out the updated Counter-Strike: Source
I’m not going to lie; the last time I played Counter-Strike was back in Junior High when someone uploaded it onto multiple computers in the technology room and we would have massive game sessions during lunch or a free period. That’s neither here nor there, but Valve is releasing a massive update to Counter-Strike: Source in the near future. The update is currently in the beta testing phase.
The beta slots have already been filled, but as soon as the beta is completed, all owners of Counter-Strike: Source will be able to get the update for free via Steam. The new functions and features were all created in collaboration with Hidden Path Studios. A list of all the changes and new features for the beta are listed below:
144 achievements added
New lifetime player stats and summary screens
New match player stats and summary screens
New end of round display with MVP and interesting fact about a player
Updated scoreboard with new icons, visual style, MVP stars, and avatar pictures
New cinematic death camera
New domination and revenge system
Added avatar icons to voice chat, scoreboard, and end of round display
Incorporated many source engine updates
