Latest Red Dead Redemption screens on both sides of the law
According to Rockstar, the wild west wasn’t a lawless place. Sure there were plenty of hijackers, thieves, and all-around miscreants, but there were consequences. The studio has reflected this in Red Dead Redemption, which includes a system of right and wrong, of working for the good guys and the bad.
Such is the theme of the latest batch of Red Dead screenshots that Rockstar have thrown our way. The gallery below shows off some of the ways in which protagonist John Marston can be good, bad, and penitent. As the studio puts it:
In the world of Red Dead Redemption, your choices have consequences; in the frontier, honor still counted for something, and fame and notoriety spread fast.
Choices you make will affect your levels of Honor and Fame, changing the way townsfolk respond to you, and gaining you the reputation of a well-respected, law-abiding gunslinger – or a notorious outlaw.
As the screens show, players have some tools with which they can increase their standing as either decent or dastardly – wearing a bandana over the face reduces wanted levels while committing crimes, cheerily greeting townsfolk with the tip of the hat endears your character to people. Working with law enforcement results in a little payday, while working against them can result in time spent in the slammer.
How many different ways can we say that the 18th can’t come soon enough? Let’s try it this time in Dutch – de 18e kan niet snel genoeg!!!
