Death strikes poor souls this Fall on The Sims 3 for consoles, handhelds
Still got the love for The Sims, but don’t own a PC or Mac and generally enjoy console or handheld controls? Well then you’re in luck, as EA just announced today that The Sims 3 will be hitting shelves this Autumn for the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and Nintendo DS. You might be asking yourselves if this is big news and the answer is astoundingly: Yes! Not for myself necessarily, but there are a ton of casual gamers who have been dying to get their hands on some Simmage and let Death wreak havoc on their poor misguided Sims’ souls.
A console and handheld release were long overdue, with The Sims 3 being the best-selling PC title of 2009. Now you might be asking yourselves what sort of creative ways would an editor at MMOMFG go about killing said Sims, right? I’ll tell you a favorite of mine: a house with no doors or windows, no furniture, toilets or luxury items. A single bar stocked to the brim with liquor and a single home phone to drunkenly harass your neighbors until the wee hours of the night. Did I mention the stove? There is one of those, but no food in the house. By the time your Sim has drank himself silly and made obscene phone calls well into the morning, the next obvious step is turning on the stove for heat, then passing out while standing up. Long story short, he’ll accidentally urinate himself, causing the stove to fill the house with urine-smoke, eventually asphyxiating the home’s sole occupant. Sad times in Sims-land. Enter haunted spirit #1.
This is only one way to have a great time in The Sims 3. If you think that is terrible, build a pool, invite the neighborhood over for a pool party and then remove the ladder to get out of the water. Your house will be infested with the spirits of the damned in no time! As you can tell, I can’t wait to play God this Fall on my Xbox 360 or PS3.
