Halo: Reach Legendary Edition a Hefty Price For a Flaming Helmet

Bungie has come up with some pretty awesome special editions for their latest Halo installment: Reach. If you were hoping for a second helmet for your other cat then stop reading now because they aren’t making that mistake again. Available today at all game retailers for pre-order are the Limited and Legendary Editions. Make sure to think it through because they come with a hefty price tag, but don’t wait too long because they are only available while supplies last. The Limited Edition will cost you $79.99, meanwhile the Legendary will cost $149.99 and the Standard Edition will be the standard price of $59.99.

The Limited Edition will come housed in a recovered ONI “black box”. It will also include a special Elite armor set and Dr. Halsey’s Journal, which will help explain and unravel the secrets of the Halo universe.

The Legendary Edition is designed for those Halo fans who want it all, and it will be produced in very limited quantities. By limited quantity, I bet it just means that they will produce more than enough for the people who are willing to shell out the $150, which I don’t expect to be that many. Bungie will be teaming up with McFarlane Toys to create a 10 inch tall 10 pound statue for you to put on your shelf that shows the entire Noble Team. In addition, it will also include a special Spartan armor set effect in multiplayer that includes a flaming helmet. Now that is sweet, flamingly sweet. It will also include everything found in the Limited Edition. All of that will come in a custom UNSC themed package.

I don’t want to spend the $150 to get a statue, but the flaming helmet is definitely sweet for multiplayer. Will any of you be purchasing the Limited or Legendary Editions? If so post on here and let us know what you think is worthwhile, and if you aren’t, let us know what is lame about it other than the price. Just a reminder, the Halo: Reach Beta is arriving in a week and half on May 3rd. If you own Halo 3: ODST, you’re sitting pretty with your Beta entry already!

    the legendary package seems pretty awesome but i will probably stick with the limited edition pack i only regret no being able have that flaming helmet….. but u never no i have 60 down on the limited i can come up with another 90 before reach comes out.

    i already pre-ordered the legendary today.Most of all I wanted to the game armor for the Elite game-types and I was really excited about the flaming head! I only play Halo so 150 is not a lot for me to spend on a game that I will play for the next 3-4 years.

    The legendary edition may seem like a waste now but remember guys this may well be the very last halo game ever! Just think about it at a long term point of view it could be at least a year or five before you get tired of it I say it’s worth the 150!!!!

    i pre order the Legendary Edition but i had sold an old xbox ,that the red ring, i had when gamestop was given an extra $50 so i got $90 for that and after i buying a $30 game i used the rest for reach so i only realy paid $90. only $10 more then the Limited Edition.

    Well i am one of those Die-hard Halo fans so the blood in veins made me get the Legendary Edition. I am really looking forward to the new McFarlane Sculpture and of coarse the awesome flaming armor. Both my Fiance and my best friend will be attending the midnight release date. We will be playing Halo Reach until our exhausted blood shot eyes give out and we crash. Hope to see you all on. Remember Reach!

    Hey guys, I was wondering because I pre-ordered my Legendary from Bestbuy and was wondering if it comes with Flaming armour effect as well. Note: I love Game Stop too so I bought normal edition their for the special armour as well…I get really nervous because at Best Buy it said that Flaming armour effect and Legendary were going to be very limited but when I pre-ordered it said “Comes with limited Flaming Armour effect”. Now I went to check today and it didn’t even mention it…I’m scared…

    I almost had Halo Reach Legendary Edition but when i was on my way back to my dads truck to guys came run and one took it from we while the other push me on the ground i now have a broken nose,why did i have to be jumped just for a game.

    Recon Helmet

    Maybe check inside the Journal? I think they put the cards with the codes on them in there. I could be wrong though as I didn’t get the Legendary Edition myself. Make sure you look through everything as the codes will be on those paper cards.

    I paid $50 on Newegg to pre-order the normal copy of the game and it came with Recon helmet. If thats all you want, you could have just pre-ordered the normal game rather than spend another $100

    All of the editions of Halo Reach sound pretty awsome to me but the truth is all i want is the flame Helmet and i dont want to throw out a wopping $150 for it. So my question is to Bungie is, can you guys please make a game or have codes to sell for the flame helmet cause i seriously do not want to pay $150 for it.
