Red Dead Redemption smuggles new screens across the border

Red Dead Redemption drops into our eagerly awaiting laps in just a few weeks, 27 days to be exact. Let’s whet our appetites with some screenshots, shall we? Peep the gallery below for 18 – that’s right, double digits – new screens from Rockstar’s soon-to-be latest and greatest title.

These shots are taken from some of the locales around Nuevo Paraiso, a Mexican province consisting of three regions: Punta Orgullo, Perdido, and Diez Coronas. I know this because the official site includes a nifty map of the area for you to scope out.

From the adobe town of Escalera to the curving canyons of Sidewinder Creek, this area of the Red Dead map looks like a few saddlesbags full of fun. Spanish for New Paradise, Nuevo Paraiso looks to be just that for us would-be gunslingers.
