Uncharted 2 DLC to deliver new multiplayer mode, maps

Come April 22, Naughty Dog is going to spank your complaining bottom with new Uncharted 2 content for all the whining you’ve been doing about repetitive maps and modes. Is this their answer to Mapathy? Whether that be the case or not, Uncharted 2 is about to receive a number of new trophies, six additional skins, two new maps and a new co-op mode. Call yourself lucky, but don’t call yourself slow to download this content. Naughty Dog looks to keep players enjoying Uncharted 2 well into the second half of 2010 with their steady stream of content being released. We, the gamers, thank you!

The all new co-op mode is called “Siege” and will play similar to the Horde mode of Gears of War mixed with a Capture the Flag element. Two teammates must hold off waves of A.I. bots while advancing to the key area on the map. Sounds like a walk in the park, no? I have a feeling it is nothing Wetsuit Drake can’t handle, as he’ll be one of a handful of playable skins added.

The new maps will include “The Highrise,” based off the Nepal location from the single player mode and “The Museum,” is based off the movie Night at the Museum. That last part may not be true, but you’ll likely recognize the Museum location from the tutorial provided early in the title. It all sounds like solid new content to me! Check out the additional skins below coming on April 22 with the rest of the pack. There has not been word on how much the DLC will cost yet, however.
