FEAR 3 announced, coming this Fall

Oh boy FEAR fans, prepare to have your mind blown away again. As if getting raped by a telekinetic she-whore wasn’t good enough, FEAR 3 (or now named F3AR, ug), will have both characters from the original FEAR, Point Man, and Paxton Fettel working together. It looks like this will create some type of interesting co-op scenarios as the press release tries to explain.

Alma returns in F.E.A.R. 3 but this time her sons Point Man and Paxton Fettel introduce divergent co-op, giving players distinctly different abilities affecting their own play as well as the experience of their co-op partner. Gamers participate in single player or co-op modes as Point Man, a genetically enhanced super soldier originally introduced in F.E.A.R., or they can play cooperatively as his conniving brother Paxton Fettel, whose incredible telekinetic power has given him life beyond the grave. The game is developed by Day 1 Studios, developer of the original F.E.A.R. console games in collaboration with Monolith Studios.

Yea, I’m not sure how that’s going to work considering Fettel died in the first one…but should be fun finding out right? It also looks like Day 1 Studios is developing F3AR and not Monolith Productions as was the case for FEAR 2. Check out http://www.whatisfear.com/ for more info and the new trailer.

    Yea I knew about this 100% I was actually on a utalkback survery for this back in September! Paxton is in the game because remember at the end of the Fear 2 Expansion he went inside the replica soldier. There’s this reaaaaaaly cheesy thing called the “Almaverse” where your going back and forth cooperatively with Point Man and Paxxton. Nothing in the survey talked of Beckkett or what happened to him but he probably got raped (no pun intended) by Alma after she well… you know. Fun Fact – I voted against F.3.A.R. . I just wanted it to be called F.E.A.R. 3 It was an awesome survery. Hope this is an awesome game with alittel more character development. Alma can keep the clothes off though. It more uh…. Spooky! Yea………

    You’re right Jared, I need to brush up on my FEAR knowledge.
    I guess I’m just not sold that a guy with a bullet in his head can still be manipulating someone from the afterlife….a bit of a stretch don’t ya think?

    But…

    The idea of a protagonist and antagonist working together seems like a great idea. Looking forward to it…and that creepy long haired ..girl..woman….thing.
