BioWare Opens Shop, Reveals BioWare Bazaar

bioware bazaar

Last week a strange and mysterious countdown clock appeared on BioWare’s homepage as well as Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age’s pages. What was finally revealed may have you feeling less than amicable but not entirely disgruntled. Many, including the staff here, were hoping for some new content announcement; a sequel announcement, new DLC, an expansion of sorts or whatever else your particular heart may have desired.

BioWare instead decided it wanted to throw us all a curve ball that broke too much to the inside hitting many of us straight in the ol’ protein pendulum (that’s balls for you noobs) leaving us with nothing but that nasty feeling in the pit of our stomachs. You know the one I’m talking about. Instead of revealing the much-speculated new content, they revealed the BioWare Bazaar where fans of the franchise will have the opportunity to bid on a plethora of items, 2,189 items to be exact. The one redeeming quality of this unexpected news is that you don’t actually have to pay money to bid on the items. Members of the BioWare community can rack up tokens any number of ways including registering certain BioWare titles and competing in daily twitter challenges. Tokens will then be used to bid on items when they go up for auction April 6th. Here’s the catch, if you win anything after reading this post you have to give me half. Deal? Fine be stingy, but at least hit us back if you’re lucky enough to win something. Good Luck.
