Rock Band: Shred as Jimi Hendrix

jimi hendrix

Want to shred licks like Jimi Hendrix? Now you can with the new DLC announced for Rock Band. There are plans to release four albums, all of them exclusively on Rock Band. Axis: Bold as Love will be available for download for the Xbox 360 and Wii on March 30th but it won’t be available on the PlayStation 3 until April 1st. In addition to the album, “Valleys of Neptune,” a newly released single will be available for download. In the next few months Are You Experienced?, Electric Layland, and First Rays of the Rising Sun will also be released.

Individually the tracks will cost $2 while the albums will cost you $20. For the Wii, it will only be available for individual track purchases. According to EA “there are now 1,142 tracks available to date via disc and download purchase” (complete list of tracks here). Holy cow, that is a lot of music. If I had Rock Band, I would definitly go download “Castles Made of Sand” and slap those buttons lefty style. I might even light that bad boy on fire.
