Lotr war in the north

With the recent teaser date placed in Dragon Age: Awakening packages hinting at another release in February 2011, players are licking their chops for another action RPG on the horizon. Now, out of the blue, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have thrown down the gauntlet announcing The Lord of the Rings: War in the North headed to PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2011. Let the action RPG wars begin!

Warner Bros. Interactive are stating the title will advance the RPG genre providing unique online capabilities as well as up to three player co-op play, that are capable of forming their own Fellowships to enter the war in the north.

Martin Tremblay, Warner Bros. Interactive’s president, issued a statement claiming “we are looking to evolve the RPG experience and deliver The Lord of the Rings game fans have been waiting for.”

As a sucker for action role-playing titles and Lord of the Rings, I’m excited to see screens and videos as they appear. Make sure you carve out some time in 2011 to prepare your battle against Sauron with two friends!
