Torchlight lighting its way onto consoles

Oh my what a bad pun to use for such a good game. Let me make up for it by letting all you Diablo-esque fans out there know that Torchlight will be hitting consoles. No idea WHEN or for how much but Runic CEO Max Schaefer wants it to happen.

“We’re going to put some serious effort into it — pretty quick– getting Torchlight onto consoles,” confirms Runic CEO Max Schaefer. “There’s a lot of really cool things about the console world, too, that would work well with our game. So, we are definitely going to be going in that direction.”

Cool things about the console world…sounds to me like console owners might be getting a little bit more. Maybe some added bonuses like more content or maybe even multiplayer. Hey, a guy can dream right? The only thing console players might miss out on is the added bonus of mods, but they could always be sold as some hefty DLC. Who knows for sure, but this is definitely a win-win for all parties involved.
