Gran Turismo 5 will hit shelves in 2010

This time we’re not kidding (based totally on Internet speculation)! Also, don’t blame us for the release date randomly getting delayed. Those pig-blappers at Sony continue to hold up production on this little gem of a racing sim without wanring. However, based on word out of GDC from the Sony press conference, we can expect to see Gran Turismo 5 on shelves by year’s end. Reports popping up over the Internet state Sony’s commitment to deliver the goods before 2011, based on statements from San Francisco.

Believable? Perhaps. Long overdue? Indeed. Sweaty? A little bit, I did some light jogging last week. Back to Gran Turismo 5, despite another delay for G5 in Japan, fingers are crossed for a Stateside release by holiday season 2010. If this isn’t out by then, Blur will be the only racing title I purchase in 2010. Sad, but true.
