According to EA and Euro Gamer, squads playing Battlefield: Bad Company 2 have a lot to look forward to in the coming months. During today’s financial conference, Eric Brown stated that owners of BFBC2 will have “multiple opportunities to spend five, 10, or 15 dollars on additional content in the next six months or so.” The first release, showing up in the store on the BFBC2 main menu, appears to be a Map Pack containing conquest mode on the Arica Harbor map and Rush mode on the Laguna Presa map with a release date of April 1st.

Looks like those of you suiting up in BFBC2 won’t be suffering from “mapathy” or whatever lame fake disease Activision has conjured up for its belated DLC release. The terms of “extensive content” have yet to be defined, but if the to be announced slots on the BFBC2 store are any indicator, owners will definitely be seeing more than two trite map packs coming their way. Then again this could just be a rouse to keep owners of the game interested due to the numerous server issues the game has seen since its launch date, but in this instance I’d like to look on the side of optimism.
