EA Release window reveal: Dead Space 2, new Dragon Age, new Need for Speed

UPDATE: March 12, 2010: New information on the EA servers coming down this weekend from the official BFBC2 Twitter account late last night: EA servers will come down tomorrow (Friday) and Saturday morning to install extra hardware to improve your online experience. http://bit.ly/duCkNp

So I lied about not posting again regarding the EA servers and Battlefield Bad Company 2. This time, it is not just the BFBC2 servers that are being affected though. Currently, a number of EA servers are down causing login issues for many EA games. This might not affect too many of us who are at work here in the States, but this is peak gaming time for those in Europe and Asia. My condolences go out to you all!

Reported less than an hour ago on Twitter: @OfficialBFBC2: EA servers are currently down stopping login to a number of EA games. EA is investigating and will be back online as soon as possible.

If you were flipping your lid all last week and this weekend, then this news doesn’t make you feel any happier regarding EA’s commitment to improving your gaming quality of life. There have been no guaranteed times for when the servers are coming back up or if this will improve your Bad Company 2 experiences, but I have a feeling most of you are just thanking your lucky stars that Final Fantasy XIII doesn’t require the EA servers to function. In another reminder, go buy Final Fantasy XIII today, as it is now on stores.

Check back here for updates on the EA servers today, as this is something that needs to be fixed immediately, EA, if you’re reading this.

UPDATE: According to the Official EA Battlefield Bad Company 2 Twitter feed an hour or two ago: “EA Servers are back online now. However EA servers will be reset tomorrow morning at 8:00 GMT/9:00 CET/Midnight PST for maintenance.”

@Prv8J0k3r: Lame. I got in some good BC2 gaming last night. It is fun when you don’t have to worry about boots or servers going down…

  4. Dustin Said,

@Prv8J0k3r: Sounds like they’re close to fixing the problem though. If you find a decent PC server, stick with it. I have been gaming fine on a few this whole week!
