Cerberus Network reveals more Mass Effect 2 DLC today
Hey Aqualungs, just when you thought you were done getting free DLC from BioWare for a few weeks, they pull a 180 on you and deliver the Arc Projector today through the Cerberus Network. The Arc Projector is the type of bad boy ion rifle that dreams of melting faces are made of.
BioWare’s official Mass Effect 2 site states: “The Arc Projector ionizes targets with a non-visible laser to ready them for a high-voltage electrical attack. As the lightning-like bolt hits its first target, a sophisticated auto-targeting system paints succeeding targets with the ionization laser, allowing the electricity to take the path of least resistance and arc between them. An entire enemy strike team can be shocked to death with a few pulls of the trigger.”
From the sound of it, you are either going to fry your opponents, or take a few members of your team out if you’re not careful. With the influx of free DLC coming from BioWare these days, it is hard to think that DLC could possibly be a bad thing from developers. I’m sure the GameStops of the world hate the amount of additional content circulating post-launch, but the gamer is truly benefiting from the publisher’s generosity. Don’t forget to check out the additional free Hammerhead and Firewalker DLC scheduled for release later this month.
