Borderlands’ General DLC will Knoxx your socks off
Hey all you apocalyptic-junkers out there, this is a friendly reminder that Borderlands’ latest DLC, ‘The Secret Armory of General Knoxx’ is hitting consoles this week. If you are still regularly running ‘Mad Moxxi’s Underdome Riot’, you should be stoked for the latest content offerings from Gearbox Software.
According to Gearbox’s Twitter account, @GearboxSoftware: “That’s the 23rd and the 25th as in this week for General Knoxx, for those asking! Get ready! #Borderlands”
The latest DLC will feature new areas, enemies and weapons, as well as raising the current level cap. The new locales found in General Knoxx are expected to be massive in size and the DLC pack should be the largest amount of content currently released by Gearbox since the new IP’s initial release.
As someone who still picks up his copy of Borderlands from time to time, I can’t wait to see what new adventures are in store upon downloading the DLC from Xbox Live on Tuesday, Feb. 23, and for PC and PS3 on Thursday, Feb. 25. The Xbox Live DLC will cost you 800 Microsoft points and the PC and PS3 DLC downloads will only put a slight dent in your wallet at $9.99.
It is uncertain if this is the final DLC in store from Borderlands, but we’re definitely impressed in the additional content released since the game’s launch. Borderlands 2 has a lot of potential, so I’m not sure if I want to keep seeing Borderlands DLC come out, or would prefer them to put these efforts towards the next title’s release. Only time will tell regarding on any additional downloadable content, I suppose.
