Assassin Creed 2′s DLC launches tomorrow: more historical figures on your console
Ubisoft’s second promised piece of downloadable content for last year’s uber-acclaimed action title Assassin’s Creed 2 will hit PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles tomorrow, the French studio announced via Twitter yesterday:
@Ubisoft: #AC2 DLC 2 “Bonfire of Vanities” will release on February 18 on PS Store and Xbox Live
The first DLC for the title, Battle for Forli, hit console’s online services late in January. This week’s chunk of new content, Bonfire of the Vanities, brings Ezio back to Florence, and in touch with yet another well known historical figure from the Italian Renaissance. If gallivanting around Italy with Leonardo DaVinci wasn’t enough, Ezio now gets the chance to team up with the father of political science, Niccolo Machiavelli, in attempts to free Florence of a despotic monk.
Bonfire of the Vanities will set you back $5 in Microsoft Points and $5.50 in PS3 currency, and is available starting tomorrow.
Other accomplishments of Machiavelli worth noting include penning the seminal work of political posturing, The Prince, having his name used as a psuedonym by the late rapper Tupac Shakur, and being remembered by a small portrait in my girlfriend’s brother’s kitchen. I don’t get it either.
