Allods Online Open Beta Begins Today!

A week or so ago I posted that the European Open Beta for Allods Online was set to begin today.  In their release they didn’t mention anything about a North American Open Beta. Fortunately I am happy to report that the North American Beta for Allods Online also begins today!

A few interesting quirks to update you on.  If you have a client from pre open beta, as I do, you will need to run THIS PATCH to allow you to then patch to the open beta client.  It’s pretty painless and comprises of just a quick installer.  The Open Beta patch then takes a whole 2 minutes to download, pretty great start to beta – a painful patching process is never fun (I’m looking at YOU Star Trek Online!)  If you don’t have the client at all yet, you can get it here!

There is no secret that I think this game has a lot of potential.  I’ve even managed to convert some of the other MMOMFG staffers to play with me!  We’ll be keeping you up to date throughout the open beta and right into the launch of this VERY exciting free to play MMO.
