Uncharted 2 to receive much needed Trophies, skins and multiplayer maps

When was the last time you popped in your disk of Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune so that you could shoot up some old familiar faces? Well come February 25, you won’t need to bother, as Naughty Dog is bringing the mother-load of Drake’s Fortune characters, multiplayer maps, Trophies and medals over to Uncharted 2. Justin Richmond, Naughty Dog’s multiplayer designer recognized the lack of trophies developed for multiplayer and they want to address it.

Richmond explained the initial lack of multiplayer Trophies: “One of the things that we wanted to make sure at launch was that anybody could get the platinum.” He also went on to explain that as soon as they finished the first game, they began to focus on head-to-head battles and a massive update for multiplayer options.

In the upcoming patch, over a dozen Trophies will be available for those who dedicate themselves to Uncharted 2′s multiplayer modes. Unfortunately, for those of you who have been pew-pewing since day one, you’ll have to add up the stats again, as these Trophies aren’t backwards compatible.

In terms of the six new multiplayer skins, you’ll see familiar faces from the original Uncharted, such as Drake, Elena, Eddie Raja, Gabriel Roman, Atoq Navarro and Javier the pirate. You’ll also have access to two new maps based off of the first title. The Flooded Ruins are set in a terrible lightning storm near the custom house from Drake’s Fortune. The Facility is the submarine pens littered with cranes, shipment boxes and a U-boat thrown into the mix.

For the amount of content, you might expect a bit of a hefty price tag, but you can get the whole kit-and-caboodle for $5.99 or the maps for $3.99 and the skins for $2.99. The content patch is also slated for the U.K. and Australia, but no dates were given. Check out a few of the new multiplayer Trophies and medals below:

Sneaky: Get 50 Stealth Kills

Still Alive: Win 50 Elimination Games

Plundered!: Get 200 Captured Medals

Cold Blooded: Get 2,500 Kills in Deathmatch or Elimination Games

Made It: Finish Wave 10 in one Survival Game

New Uncharted 2 Multiplayer Medals:

Tip Off: Be the First Player to Grab the Treasure in Plunder

No Cigar: Kill the Treasure Carrier while They Are About to Score

Finish Him!: Get the Last Kill of the Game

That Was Embarrassing: Earn a Shutout in Plunder

Tricky: Kill a Player with a Pistol Weapon while Hanging
