Xbox 360 Modern Warfare 2 to receive its own care package
According to Infinity Ward’s community manager Robert Bowling, a “care package” of sorts is headed to the Xbox 360 in patch format. The PC and PS3 versions of Modern Warfare 2 have already been updated, but a patch to fix the care package glitches and other game issues is currently held up with Microsoft’s certification requirements. Bowling stated the patch was submitted on Friday for review, but hopefully Xbox Livers can expect to see it any time now.
A handful of updates have been addressed in the patch including Care Package, Emergency Airdrop, and Sentry Gun marker grenades sprint speed normalization, the infinite care package glitch, improved Sentry Gun placement, and fixes to the XP glitch currently plaguing servers.
A date hasn’t been announced when the Xbox Live patch will appear to update Modern Warfare 2, but according to Bowling’s Twitter, it shouldn’t be long. @fourzerotwo: The Care Package Fix patch went to Microsoft for cert on Friday. Not too much longer before it’s a thing of the past. The patch notes can be found over on Steam, as the PC patch was released nearly a month ago.
