Mass Effect 2: Cerberus Network paying off; free DLC Tuesday
It looks like anyone who had pre-ordered Mass Effect 2 and received the Cerberus Network Download for free is already getting their money’s worth. For everyone else who bought the Cerberus Network late for a whopping 1200 Microsoft points, you’re about to an early Christmas present to make up for the difference. BioWare is releasing brand new downloadable content featuring two free pieces of equipment on the Cerberus Network through the Xbox 360 and PC tomorrow, February 9.
BioWare wasn’t joking when they first announced that the Cerberus Network would filter in quality DLC content at a steady pace. Mere weeks after Mass Effect 2′s launch, The Cerberus Assault Armor and the M-22a Eviscerator Shotgun are two very nice additions that are getting added to your arsenal. Cerberus Network owners can expect a steady influx of ME2 DLC over the next few months, as BioWare’s first smash hit of 2010 keeps delivering the goods. Here are the new weapons stats which will be available for download at 12:00 p.m. MST/3:00 p.m. EST tomorrow:
Cerberus Assault Armor
Cerberus assault armor is designed for shock troops, turn the tide of battle against creatures or forces that would decimate normal soldiers.
Increases heavy weapon ammo capacity by +10%
Increases shields by +10%
Increases health by +10%
M-22a Eviscerator Shotgun
The M-22a Eviscerator Shotgun is a longer-range shotgun with armor-piercing loads. This design also violates several intergalactic weapons treaties, so the M-22a is not distributed to militaries.
