EA release window reveals: Dead Space 2, Dragon Age 2, new Need for Speed
Necromorphs, darkspawn, and drifters, oh my! Electronic Arts revealed today a slew of releases set for about this time next year. During an earnings call today discussing the company’s financial results for the third quarter of fiscal year 2010, EA let loose that Dead Space 2, a new Dragon Age title, a new Need for Speed, and several other titles will hit the market during the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2011. That’s the fiscal year, not the calendar year – confusing, we know. These titles are all set to hit between January and March of 2011.
The full slate of titles revealed to hit early in ’11 includes the above mentioned Dead Space sequel, and new Need for Speed and Dragon Age titles. EA plans to release two more games during that window, an unannounced shooter from Epic Games and an unnamed action title said to be a direct download. Epic, the developers of both the Unreal and Gears of War series, has FPS in it’s blood and any new shooter IP will come highly anticipated.
Questions remain unanswered, but the biggest question of the bunch is which title you’re most looking forward to. What excites you the most: Dead Space 2, Dragon Age 2, Need for Speed 18 (what number is this series at again?), or one of the more mysterious titles?
