Spring cleaning; server maintenance this Thursday for Steam
Valve has announced that Steam, the mutiplayer hub and store for PC titles, will be down for server maintenance this Thursday, February 4, starting at 6:00 p.m. PST. The expected down time for Steam should be around three hours, according to Valve.
The maintenance should address a few undisclosed fixes for servers. No additional updates have been announced for games, though. During the downtime, users will be unable to buy games, download updates or patches or utilizing the Steam community features.
Go ahead and take this time to get your stretching in and visit the outside world for a few hours, then get back to some intense gaming sessions when Steam is back up. Let’s cut Steam a break regarding the downtime, as they provided some incredible deals and sales over the holiday season.
