This weekend played host to new Diablo 3 screens popping up from Blizzard’s vault of endlessly slow dripping images. Unfortunately, this game is still not slated for release until 2011, so you’ll have to continue making due with the periodic image updates until the big day or potential beta/demo.

As I remember, Blizzard touted flashier graphics that wouldn’t be quite as dark in the past. The dark graphics give off the spooky ambiance one comes to expect from a Diablo game, but I’m just not sold on the bright desert look yet. At least the new graphics show off some of the spell effects and classes. If this handful of images is any clue into the typical Blizzard/Diablo 3 process, we can expect another round of images this week or next.
