MLB 2K10: One Millllllllion Dollars!

MLB 2K10

Those of you who buy MLB 2k10 on March 2, the day of its release, will be given the opportunity to win one million dollars in a contest sponsored by 2K sports. All you have to do is throw a perfect game. With such a hefty prize there are specific stipulations.

First, you have to be signed in online in either the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 version of MLB 2K10 during your efforts. Second, you must be a resident of the United States and not live in Arizona, Connecticut, Maryland, North Dakota or Vermont (sorry, suckers!). Your submission must be made between March 2 at 12:01 AM PST and May 2. The recording of your pitching achievement will be verified by Twin Galaxies International, the same company that handles Guinness Book of Records entries (and were awesomely featured in King of Kong). You also have to be playing the game on the All Star difficulty setting, one less than the games hardest level.

Jason Argent, the 2K Sports vice president, has gone on record saying that there is no code existing in the game that prevents a perfect game from being thrown. He admits that the past few games haven’t been up to quality standards that come to be expected by 2K Sports’ games. When asked how long he thinks it would take for someone to throw a perfect game and net the one million dollars he stated around two weeks would be his guess.

So there it is. A company so proud of their game they’re willing to put up one million dollars to anyone who can simply throw a perfect game. Just twenty-seven strikeouts will pay off your house, people! No hits, no walks, and you walk away a millionaire. Good Luck!

You don't have to deal 27 K's for a "perfect game." Just no hits, walks, or free passes (Hit by pitch, passed ball due to walk)
