Delay shifts Mass Effect 2 day-of DLC to week-of
BioWare promised free day-of-launch DLC for Mass Effect 2. Sadly, they were only able to deliver on about half of that promise.
While the Cerberus Network, an ME2 shop/portal of sorts, has launched, bringing with it access to freely downloadable missions and in-game items, a certain mercenary named Zaeed is a bit late to the party.
Originally intended to be included in the launch-day pack was an additional mission introducing Zaeed, an intergalactic mercenary hired on to aid Shepard’s crew in their quest to save mankind, or the universe, or all of Earth’s kittens, or whatever it is they’re saving this time around. Some kinks in the interwebz hose have curtailed the launch of this one piece of the launch-day DLC. On their official forums, BioWare has announced that this will hit the Cerberus Network later this week, calling out Wednesday or Thursday as possiblities.
If this is the biggest problem Mass Effect 2′s launch has to face it will be considered a successful one. But what about the game itself? As the review start trickling in…well we don’t care about the reviews because we want to hear it from you? If you’re playing hooky, faking sick, or somehow else not at work or school today and using the free time to jump into ME2, let us know how its going in the comments below!
If you haven’t picked the title up yet and are still on the fence, stop acting crazy! For further incentive to buy, check out yesterday’s Mass Effect 2 preview feature. We called it a “Hype Roundup”, but let the record show I wanted to call it a “Hyperegator”. Take that, Dustin.
