Metro 2033 shows the meaning of the Land Down Under

Metro 2033 doesn’t take place in Australia, that wouldn’t make any sense (or be the least bit scary).
Instead it takes place under Moscow’s subway system. That makes a lot more sense!

This game seems like it could be chock full of scary:

Dark subway system – Scary
Apocalyptic setting – Scary
Mutated monsters trying to eat you – A tad scarier
Russians - Whooo man that’s some scary Sh$T you got right there.

THQ is hoping the future apocalyptic setting hasn’t gotten old yet and aims to bring Metro 2033 March 16th (2010 not 2033). For a game I’ve heard little about, these screenshots definitely make me interested in seeing more.
