Nintendo Wii Jumps on the Bandwagon; Offering Netflix in Spring 2010
Following in-step with the Sony Playstation and Xbox 360, Nintendo will be announcing the addition of Netflix’s streaming service to the Wii today. Those who plan to be putting their amazing “Instant Play” feature to use be warned; you will be required to use the same type of streaming disc that the PS3 uses. Also, since the Wii is primarily standard definition (with a minor bump to 480p available), the movies will go no higher than that.
Seeking to be a center piece in every household’s entertainment center just became a bit easier for the Nintendo Wii. Will the service boost Wii sales and Netflix reservations? Magic 8 Ball says, “Ask again later.” Dang it, hold on… Magic 8 Ball says, “Yes, Definitely.” There we go! (You do it too, don’t look at me like that!)
What’s your take on it? Will it convince you to get Netflix or the Wii?
