Billion Dollar Baby, Modern Warfare 2 hits $1,000,000,000

For Modern Warfare 2 enthusiasts, be comforted in knowing that your favorite game’s developer will not be going out of business anytime soon thanks to you. Infinity Ward has just release their to-date earnings on the FPS behemoth, and with $550 million made the first week, it was pretty obvious this was coming.

If you didn’t already know, MW2 racked in a whopping 4.7 million units sold within the first day. Keep in mind though that while the game has accumulated $1 Billion dollars, the number accounts for all money that went to both retailers and developer/publisher. I know I dropped a pretty penny on it. I bought the MW2 360, which wasn’t so much for MW2 as it was for the 250GB hard drive, but it does have a slick look to it, too.
